Pastor Steven Furtick is the lead pastor of the now famous, Elevation Church.

This book stands out as a call to the Body of Christ to return to seeing life as more than something we are mean to endure. Rather life, when lived with audacious faith, can yield untold amazing journeys.

My favorite quote from this book is, “Extraordinary acts of God ALWAYS follow extraordinary acts of obedience.”

That has been so true in my life and if you think about it, probably yours too.

One more thing is that while you may be thinking, “Great…. who wants to read another book about faith?” Well, for starters, you want to read this one because Pastor Steven knows a little something about it.  He and 28 other people packed up everything they owned and left ‘small town America’ to move to the thriving metropolis of Charlotte.  They put everything on the line in order to pursue God’s purpose for their lives.  I recently heard Pastor Steven say that with only two weeks before their churches launch, he received a call from one of the prominent pastor’s of the city.    To put it briefly, the pastor told him, “Good luck with that. Charlotte is known as a church planter’s graveyard.  Many people try to plant here but most have never made it past one year.”  This was only the beginning of all the things Furtick and his team would have to put out of their minds as they pushed toward God.

Now, five years later, I’ll let you be the judge.  They have almost 10,000 weekly attenders spread out over 4 locations around the city. I think he not only knows a thing or two about faith but he also knows how to see it through to it’s success.
