Hello Everyone!
I hope you are having a great start to your week. There are so many great things to share with you it’s hard to know where to start.
I feel so honored to pastor such an amazing, growing, life-giving church.
It’s so awesome to celebrate a record attendance this past weekend as well as 8 people giving their lives to Christ!
It never gets old watching people experience the love of God.
Thank you for your faithfulness in helping RLC carry out its vision to be a REAL church connecting REAL people to a REAL God.

Here are a few things I wanted to share with you today>>>

1.FORGIVENESS. This series has had a lot of hype and so far it has not disappointed. God is changing people’s lives, mending relationships, and setting people free as we embrace what it means to forgive and walk in forgiveness. Here are a few tweet-able moments from this past Sunday:

-Forgiveness has nothing to do with your relationship with another person. It has to with your relationship with God.

-We forgive others because they are victims too.

-Jesus is qualified to be our example on offenses.

-We can love because we have been loved.

Also, many of you asked me for the Prayer read during the message. Here it is>>>

TITLE: A DIFFERENT KIND OF PRAYER

Heavenly Father,
Help us to remember that the jerk who cut us off in traffic last night is a single mother who worked 9 hours that day and was rushing home to cook dinner, do the laundry, help with homework, and spend a few precious moments with her children.

Help us remember that the pierced, tattooed, disinterested man at the store who can’t even make change correctly is a worried, 19 year old college student who is balancing his apprehension of his final exams with his fear of not getting his student loans next year.

Help us remember that the scary looking bum begging for money in that same spot everyday who really ought to get a job is a slave to addictions that we can only imagine in our worst nightmare.

Help us to remember that the old couple walking annoyingly slow down the isles and blocking our shopping progress are savoring the moment knowing that based on the biopsy report she got back last week that this is the last year they will shop together.

Heavenly Father, remind us that of all the gifts you give us, the greatest gift is love. It’s not enough to only share that with those we hold dear. Open our hearts not just to those who are close to us but to all humanity.  Help us to see people the way you do. Not a problem to avoid but a person to be loved.

fall.back4. FALL BACK.

Can you believe the holiday season is already upon us! This is one of my favorite times of the year. November is a great time for really focusing on Thankfulness and honoring those around us. Then, we head right into Christmas when we focus on the greatest gift of all, Jesus.

Don’t forget to kick off the holiday season ON TIME by setting your clocks back ONE HOUR on NOVEMBER 2ND.

It’s going to be a great season. I look forward to sharing it with you.

That’s all for this week. I look forward to seeing everyone sometime this week at a Life Group event or this Sunday.

You’re Awesome.
