Marathon Training: Week Three

Week Three… DONE!


Christmas and running are not the best of friends. It was tough keeping away from all the amazing holiday food but my family was very understanding of my need to training. I was actually able to run on Christmas Eve AND Christmas Day as well as while out of town.

Hal is known as one of the greatest running coaches ever. HIs training programs can be some of the most gruesome as well. He definitely believes what he says about not taking the shortcuts in life.



This Week’s Training Schedule and Results:

WORKOUT ONE- Foundational Run- 4 miles

WORKOUT TWO- Foundational Run- 3 miles

WORKOUT THREE- Foundational Run- 6 miles

X-Training- 30 minutes

Long Run: 7 miles

Total number of runs: 4
Total mileage: 20 mile
