Hello friends. Happy Saturday!
What a blessing it has been to journey through God’s Word with you this past week! I’ve been reminded that when we immerse ourselves in Scripture, we draw closer to God’s heart and grow stronger in our faith. Let’s keep pressing forward together, trusting that His Word will continue to transform us.

📚 Scripture. 💪

(Jeremiah 35:14) "The descendants of Jonadab son of Rekab have carried out the command their forefather gave them, but these people have not obeyed me."

Observation: God uses the example of the Rekabites’ obedience to their ancestor’s instructions to highlight Judah’s disobedience to His commands. The Rekabites refused to drink wine or settle in permanent homes, faithfully following their forefather’s commands. In contrast, Judah repeatedly ignored God’s prophets and instructions. This chapter underscores the importance of faithfulness and the consequences of disobedience. God desires not just religious rituals but hearts that obey and trust Him.

Application: I should strive to obey God’s Word as faithfully as the Rekabites obeyed their forefather. Their example challenges me to evaluate whether I am listening to God and living according to His will. Obedience often requires sacrifice and going against the culture, but it leads to God’s blessing and approval. Today, I will seek to obey God not out of obligation, but out of love and trust in His goodness. Faithful obedience brings both peace and purpose.

Prayer: Father, help me to listen to Your voice and obey Your commands with faith and trust. Forgive me for the times I’ve ignored Your guidance. Give me strength to follow You even when it’s difficult or unpopular. Let my life reflect my love and commitment to You. Amen.
