First of all, I have gone through a sort of relational revolution over the past several months. While I have always loved people who deal with sexual identity issues, I have recently had the privilege of getting to know people who deal with these issues daily. It has given me a fresh perspective in ways I would have never known without walking with them. While this is a settle issue in God’s Word, that doesn’t mean it is easy for many to walk out. A lot of “straight” people could remember how much we struggle with other settled issues like loving our neighbor as ourselves.
Recently, there has been a lot of uproar about whether or not the word “homosexuality” should be in the Bible because the phrase is a relatively new word even though the act is not. Paul actually created a new word in his writing that some are saying should not be translated as homosexual. What you will find in the video below is a great conversation on this topic and how the word choice does not change the intended meaning by Paul or the book of Leviticus.
