Wow! August is already over! Fall is upon us, and cooler weather is on the horizon. Thank Goodness God's Word doesn't change like the seasons.

πŸ“š Scripture. πŸ’ͺ

(Job 12:13) But true wisdom and power are found in God; counsel and understanding are His.

Observation: A long time ago, when my girls were little, my youngest daughter hated the dark. In order to help her get past this crippling fear, I tried so many different things to help. One particular time, instead of turning on a light, I told her to walk with me across a room that I knew well. I promised her that there were no monsters and I wasn’t going to hit anything. She struggled to follow me, and I finally had to say, β€œBaby, I can tell you all day that it is safe, but eventually, you’re just going to have to trust me or stay here.” I think God says that to us sometimes. At some point, we have to make a decision: can we trust God and move forward, or are we just going to stay stuck where we are? God has true wisdom and power. He knows all things. He honestly does know the right way to go. But we have to decide to trust Him and follow His lead in all things.

Application: Trust the Lord and follow His Word.

Prayer: Help me always remember that you are trustworthy. My hope and joy is found in You.

The last two centuries of Christian theology are the record of an evolving attack on the role of knowledge in the Christian faith. The purpose of this book is to challenge the primary forms of Christian agnosticism and offer an alternative theory that makes human knowledge about God possible. In other words, is there a relationship between the human mind and the divine mind that is sufficient to ground the communication of truth from God to humans?

✍️ Quote of the Week That Makes You Think

I am persuaded that men think there is no God because they wish there were none. They find it hard to believe in God, and to go on in sin, so they try to get an easy conscience by denying his existence. –Charles Spurgeon
