Hello friends. Happy Saturday!

🎙️ Behind the Breakdown Recap

Wow! July is almost over. I hope you have had a great one. The Fall is almost here. I'm glad to be walking into it together.

📚 Scripture. 💪

(Nehemiah 8:10 NLT)  “And Nehemiah continued, “Go and celebrate with a feast of rich foods and sweet drinks, and share gifts of food with people who have nothing prepared. This is a sacred day before our Lord. Don’t be dejected and sad, for the joy of the Lord is your strength!”

Observation: A good definition of joy is the settled, confident hope that God is in control. Joy is not happiness. Happiness is based on the different “happenings” in our lives. Happiness can change based on the weather outside or canceled plans. However, joy is a decision, and it is something unmoving. Life will offer us many reasons to be unhappy. Never let life give you a reason to lose your joy. Make sure your joy is firmly founded in the goodness and trustworthiness of the Lord.

Application: Keep your joy firmly planted in the Lord.

Prayer: Help me always remember that you are trustworthy. My hope and joy is found in You.
