Hello friends. Happy Saturday!

πŸŽ™οΈ Behind the Breakdown Recap

We are not beginning 2 Chronicles. Don't worry; there are no extremely long lists of genealogies this time. Even if there were, we would get through it together.

πŸ“š Scripture. πŸ’ͺ

(2 Chronicles 1:10) "Give me the wisdom and knowledge to lead them properly, for who could govern this great people of yours?"

Observation: Have you ever watched the old TV show, "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" It is a show where the contestants have a series of increasingly difficult trivia questions. If they answer the most challenging question, they receive a million dollars. There is no way of knowing if Solomon truly realized the million-dollar question God posed to Him. Imagine if the wealthiest man in the world said you could have one wish granted. What would you ask for? All your debts paid? All your enemies punished? Would you want to work for him or become a social media influencer? Solomon wanted to be faithful to what God had already put in His hands. He wanted to honor the people of God. This could be seen as the equivalent of asking the wealthiest man in the world to pay off all the debts of your friends and not yours. Wow! How much more impressive is it to be asked such a question by the King of Universe?! When we live to honor others, God will grant our request and so much more.

Application: Don't seek promotion. Seek to be promotable.

Prayer: "Lord, help me have a pure heart that seeks to honor You and Your people."
